Facebook Adopting Hashtag Facility from Twitter

        Facebook adding hashtag "#" to improve its web service among social networking. For the convenience of user and advertiser Facebook introducing hashtag to get instance breaking news and hot topics.

Facebook Hashtag

        Initially hashtag was first introduced on twitter which allows user to follow specific conversations. Even it is same feature of twitter, the tweets can be viewable for public but in Facebook the conversations are only with friends and also secure. Facebook Said, hashtags were the new feature to focus the conversations about events. With the help of hashtag, we can able to specify the event name like #cricket, #election.


        On Wednesday Facebook said in its official blog post, its service lacked a "simple way to see the larger view of what's happening or what people are talking about.". The 20% of Facebook users started using the hashtag facility. Facebook planning to release the hashtag feature globally in next few weeks.
